About
This website was made in conjunction with Big Picture Initiative’s Portraits of Peoria Series. The Portraits of Peoria Series was created to highlight important Peorians while bringing a new artistic flair to Peoria.
The Bob Gilmore Portrait was created by artist Jeremy Berkley
Our process for creating the website involved conducting interviews with Doug and Eileen Leunig of ArtsPartners, Christine and Victor Stibolt (Bob Gilmore’s daughter and son-in-law), and Jeremy Berkley, the artist behind the Bob Gilmore portrait. We then went through the Robert Gilmore Collection at the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center at Bradley University to find artifacts to include on the website. Our goal was to tell the story of Bob Gilmore, and, in particular, highlight his incredible work and impact on the Peoria community and those who knew and loved him in life.
The website was created by the Bob Gilmore Research Group consisting of:
Shelby Dean - Interviewer/Photographer
Casey Stafford - Historian/Researcher
Nina Fetene - Gilmore Foundation Liaison
Kevin Saucedo - Technology Lead/Transcriber
Manuel Mendez - Transcriber
Owen Mathis - Transcriber/Dublin Core Technician
